In the Bleak Mid-Winter

Once again Sun Hill seems to have escaped the worst of the weather so far, although with sub-zero temperatures expected to cause disruption for a second day across large parts of the UK I don’t expect we will escape completely.

In these days of progress it always amazes me that snow levels of 5cm cause such problems. When I was a girl (many moons ago) the snow falls were measured in feet and we still all got about our daily business.

Just a bit of fun to liven this dull period before New Year:-

Weather warning:-

Southerners are urged not to travel unless absolutely necessary

Northerners- You will need your big coat!

I always find this is a strange time between Christmas and New Year and things seem bleak as people get their 'second breath' for New Year. That being said, all busy here at Sun Hill as we are making the most of the sunshine for now, with preparations for our two runners at Southwell tomorrow.
