Old favourites and new acquisitions

Landing Night hits the front.

We've had a brilliant start to the season with our two-year-olds, and long may it continue, but it was great to celebrate wins from old yard favourites Landing Night and Red Charmer recently. Getting up by half a length at Catterick on Friday evening, Landing Night recorded his fourth victory from fifteen starts, having blown away the cobwebs on his seasonal reappearance six days earlier. He's a gorgeous little horse who won three races for his connections last year and has shown he has retained his sparkle as a four year old. Red Charmer has taken a few runs to get back on top and it's helped that he dropped a few pounds, both in the handicap and on the scales at home. The older he gets it seems the heavier he gets - though the extra 'padding' didn't seem to hamper the six-year-old at Carlisle on Monday, where he went on to score by over two lengths under stable apprentice Rowan. Brilliant for Rowan and connections, and hopefully he will go on to score more over the summer, providing Mr Handicapper doesn't get too carried away...

Handsome yard favourite, Red Charmer.

Meanwhile back at home, we've had another reshuffle to make way for several more new horses, three of which can be seen on the Horses For Sale page having been acquired from the breeze ups in Ireland last week. Two colts and a filly are available and videos of them breezing can be viewed on their respective pages. The afore mentioned Landing Night was purchased from the same sale, as was Sun Hill graduate 'Willie The Whipper' who we enjoyed a fabulous time with both at home and in France and earned himself a rating of 107. Fingers crossed we've uncovered another star in the making.
