Due to the frost at the begining of the week, we had four lots out today - on what is usually a day of rest for the horses - to make sure that no work has been missed this week. Dale went to collect feed and came back with a handful of mane combs to ensure the whole yard receives lovely new hair do's, though I won't be letting him loose on mine. Brightening up our morning, Ann Starkie and friend came in to see us, Cotton Socks and her beloved Chant. Ann arrived just in time to see Chant enjoy one of his regular water treadmill sessions - he is a frequent user of the treadmill even during his 'off-season' and as a result, looks in great nick. As we were talking about how well he looks, it transpired that Ann Starkie and I have a very similar 'type' - I'm partial to a striking, handsome sort and Ann loves nothing more than a big, muscly bum - horses of course... well, maybe not just horses...
Back in the office, we enjoyed a lunch time treat of soup, sandwiches and fruit cake, homemade by Annie. Ann, Anna, Annie - yes, it does get very confusing at times! Many happy returns to Berni who celebrates her birthday today and has been spoilt by partner John, who picked out some lovely gifts by himself - you must have him well trained Berni, I will be coming to you for tips - have a great evening!
