Great turnout for MPR and our "Video blog" a big success

Yesterday's open morning for Middleham Park Racing was a great success, in fact it had a real "buzz" to it. Forty odd owners arrived to see their two horses in training, the three year old "Birrafun" who has shown enough in her three runs to suggest she is capable of winning races. She was, unsurprisingly admired by everyone, a striking steel grey filly who leaves me in no doubt  that the few remaining shares currently available, will not be available for long! With a Summer of racing ahead of us and a maiden filly whose two fourths and a fifth suggest plenty of potential, she is sure to be fully sold soon.

MPR's two year old filly is also a striking grey lady called "Belle's Angel" and is fully sold, which is hardly a surprise given how well the sire "Dark Angel" has done. Both fillies are looking very well and thriving. An added bonus to the morning came when Chrisitne Swiers our "jockey in training"  for the MacMillan charity race at York this Summer, raised £160 selling hot drinks and delicious homemade cakes to 'very generous' MPR owners, the chefs (Christine and Charlote Holmes) should be very proud of their efforts.  Chrsitine has already passed her target of raising 3k and is now closer to 5k and, having got the bit between her teeth is hoping to raise even more for this very worthwhile charity.

Friday nights "video" blog has proven very popular so no doubt more of the same will follow, giving owners, the yards supporters and racing enthusiasts a real taste of the work going on behind the scenes. Our new website has now attracted over 22.000 "hits" in less than three weeks and the "example" page for the owners login will be going live any day too.

More good news...... "Arnold" our smart two year old colt whose FULL brother "Mahon" was placed third on debut in France and was also recently placed second, won very impressively in Madrid today by six lengths, in fact its good news twice over because A/ we train him and B/ there is up to 50% share available in him. A nice opportunity for a lucky owner looking for a share option.
