"Last practice" sounds like a good name for a horse, but in fact it was "Poppy Pivot's"  last practice in the stalls before her engagement at Southwell on Thursday, she is seen here jumping out of the stalls (ridden by Allen) alongside "Twizzle" (James) - a filly also due to make her racecourse debut quite soon, all being well. Both girls behaved impeccably, and while all the horses started stalls practice as yearlings when being driven through the gates, these two are the first to be taught to actually "jump". We can only hope and pray the rest are as well behaved! The video above shows George in his role as "official starter" while I am the cameraman for this morning.

Rowan rode two lots this morning and felt good, he was delighted to be back at work and especially to be back riding out, he can't wait until he is able to ride in races again. Twenty two on the treadmill today as per usual, the weather was dull this morning but this afternoon has been bright and gorgeous.
