Last week was a quiet one in terms of runners but we look set to make up for that this week with plenty of horses entered up, with Friday being the most busy with 11 potential runners - that could be a logistical nightmare and one, thankfully, that falls to Anna to sort out!

Last time out winner Uncle Charlie is en route to Carlisle as I type. He won at this track 11 days ago, when the ground was firmer than ideal and that remains the main worry today, as the going could be quicker still. He clearly likes the course and the return back to six furlongs is of no concern, as he has won over the trip before. We have everything crossed that he can continue his so-far-very-positive season.

Our youngest member of the team 'Megan' enjoyed her return to the saddle this morning, after sustaining an injury that saw her sidelined for three weeks. She came back on light-duties for a week before being ready to ride again and was raring to get back on board!
