"Brockholes" got us off the mark today in fine style for new owner David Armstrong, the filly was having her second run for us having finished third at Carlisle behind a useful looking Sir Mark Prescott trained winner who has since finished second in a Listed race. The filly won her race in impressive fashion, travelling strongly and staying on well to score by three and a half lengths. The soft ground held no fears for her, in fact she is happy on soft or faster ground, she is a tall, rangy girl who is still unfurnished and, as a homebred it would be good to think she can contiune to improve as she gets stronger.
This mornings work day went well, Hayley was busy with the ipad and camera and the results of her handiwork can be seen on todays Vlog. Much of todays footage was taken from a new toy on the yard "Henry" proper name is a John Deere "Gator"- on loan to us while we decide if "Henry" will be a uselful addition ot Sun Hill. So far so good and I can see him being a part of the team- he will certainly be able to work very hard, carrying feed, hay, bedding, buckets and tack - as well as the trainer up and down the gallops.
