We've enjoyed the recent burst of sunshine this week and the horses seem to feel the same as the last few runners have all ran well, though we could do with another winner... perhaps Highly Focussed can add to his tally tomorrow and make it four for the season?
Bibbidibobbidiboo was revitalised for her short break when finishing second at Newcastle on Monday evening. She's had a super consistent season and showed a fantastically willing attitude once again. You have to give the filly credit, she has the heart of a lion with a sweet nature to boot - she is fast becoming a yard favourite. Two-year-old Up The Millers had his big boy pants on at Pontefract yesterday, putting his recent escapades behind him to run a really encouraging race. He travelled well and looked the winner a furlong out. A touch of inexperience saw him hang and drift across the track, just losing out on a place, but it was another valuable step in his education completed and he will now receive a rating making him eligible to run in handicaps.
We'd like to wish our headman James (who has escaped to the proper sunshine) a fantastic (and hopefully relaxing) holiday at home in Trinidad. He certainly deserves a break and he will be missed over the next few weeks, not just for his hard work but because he is always a friendly face and reliable part of the team. Have a wonderful time catching up with friends and family James, but don't forget us!
