The week began with a flurry of runners who thankfully covered themselves in glory, the middle part of the week has been a bit quieter in terms of runners although we have had nine new arrivals since last weekend, so getting to know the new fillies and colts has kept us busy. Tomorrow looks manic with four runners at three meetings, several owners are due here early to see horses working and the syndicate "ICM" have an open morning arranged.
The new horses have been ridden out at home since their arrival as well as being wormed over five days, had the dentist pay them a visit and been vaccinated in line with all our other horses. Tim Jarman, one of our excellent physios worked on each one of them while we have also had them all on the water treadmill daily too, a routine they now absolutely love and look forward to. The water treadmill also had it's weekly change of water this afternoon, a delivery of several tonnes of epsom salts arrived just in time because we had almost run out of this precious and useful commodity.
The beeze up horses recently purchased at Goresbridge have been ridden out from the farm and all behaved well. One of the three has already found a new owner leaving me two smashing, smart colts to find owners for. Their pedigrees and videos, including one of their breeze ups can be seen on their pages too, they each hail from excellent families and look the part. Other news, "Arnold" our handsome, strong and well grown two year old by one of my favourite sires "Equiano" is now a full brother to a Listed winner in Madrid. Well done "Mahon" for achieving much coveted Black type
