Calm before the storm

Damp and gloomy this morning, so to brighten things up a bit, three of the older horses were brought back into work. Day one saw Red Charmer, Harmonic Wave and Landing Night don saddle and bridle for the first time since the winter break. After a spell on the walker to 'get their backs down' they were trotted around the 'parade ring'. Another year older has not neccessarily resulted in them being any wiser as all three made sure to show their playful sides. Luckily no one was caught napping and none of the lads will be baking cakes this evening. Several of the others, including a few of the now 2 yr olds, were also tacked up and put on the walker in preperation for being ridden over the next couple of days. It certainly feels as though the calm before the metaphorical storm is coming to an end, as it will soon be all systems go for the 2016 turf season. With strength in numbers in our 3 yr old brigade compared to the previous season, several older horses and almost 40 fabulous 2 yr olds on our hands (only a handful of which remain for sale), Sun Hill is thriving and we can only look forward to what awaits round the corner.

Feel free to have a browse at our two year olds and if anything should catch your eye, please do contact the office on 01677 450303
