A big form boost amid a frustrating week

To say the past fortnight has been "frustrating" would be an understatement with so many of our runners hitting the cross bar but failing to get tha ball in the back of the net. In the last fourteen days we have had to endure a run of near misses with My Amigo (3rd) Whispering Soul second twice, Dubai Knights third, Toboggans Fire third, Mayleen - third, Harbour Lightening, fourth, Peach Pavlova second, Brockholes third, My Two scoops third, Benidiction second, and Prairie Impluse fourth. Many of those were in tight, difficult to predict photo finishes and, had half of them gone our way the past two weeks would have been considered excellent.

But, thats racing and we all have to go through it sometimes. On the bright side, some of these promising runs were from two year olds making their racecourse debuts and they look very promising, the run of places confirm the horses overall wellbeing so I guess every cloud has a silver linning and that is certainly the way I am going to look at it.

A major form boost for our boy "Rainbow Mist" occured today when "Prince Of Lia" won the Group 2 Norfolk stakes at Royal Ascot with "The last Lion" in second, these two high class horses were first and second in the "Brian Yardley Conditions stakes race" at Beverly when our highly regarded "Rainbow Mist " was in third place having run green during the race, franking the form nicely.
