The rain we so desperately need has finally arrived and while those indoors are delighted, the staff riding out weren't so happy to have soggy bottoms in the middle of May! Our vets arrived from Ireland to take routine, ten weekly samples and swabs from pretty much every area of the yard, the hay and even the feed barrow, testing for all sorts of 'nasties' and even took an 'air' sample away with him. We should have all results back in a week or so.

Seven lots went out today all of which were on the round camter with many of the two-year-olds going on to do stalls practise afterwards. Miss Bates heads to Beverley today and if she builds on her reappearence at Pontefract she could go nicely, though she may bit a touch high in the handicap.

In other news, Issey was delighted to receive a lovely box of chocolates that came along with a big stationary order! Luckily she can get away with it, after riding 6 lots everyday, there's more fat on a chip!
