Gorse showed today that he is indeed headed in the right direction, finishing third on his handicap debut. He has learned a lot from each of his starts, improving each time and it surely can't be long before he records his first win for long-standing owner, Evelyn, Duchess Of Sutherland. He has always been a big character at home, a typical 'Zebedee' in everything but colour (Gorse is a bay whereas many are grey), somewhat obnoxious, a show-off and a bit of a 'lad', but thankfully he seems to leave his cheeky antics at home!
