A Bit Of Ginger had us all jumping up and down in excitement this evening when she ran an absolute cracker down at Kempton Park to finish second. Her first time owners Andrew and Stephen will have really enjoyed that! It was her first start of the season and the first time she'd been stepped up to a mile. She is bred to get the trip; her mother 'Hel's Angel' and sister 'Heaven Scent' (both trained here) won over varying distances over a mile, and 'Ginger' looks set to keep it in the family. Shane Gray has been riding out here regularly and had her beautifully settled after breaking well, ensuring she saw out the trip well. She will have learned a lot there and I very much doubt she will be 33/1 next time. How many of you subscribe to 'Ann's Thoughts' and read our pre-race analysis this morning?

At home the usual Friday morning work list consisted of 6 lots on the round canter, ahead of work day tomorrow. Headman James loves to serenade us while he rides, unfortunately his singing ability is nowehere near his riding ability! Chant and co. did not appreciate his rendition of 'Kung Fu Fighting' and fast as lighting they scattered left right and centre, throwing some serious shapes!

Grand National tomorrow, who gets your bet...?
