Today has flown by, everyone was in by five am, three lorries loaded with thirteen horses and all left yard by 6.30 am, one lorry tried to take a gate post out but luckily failed to accomplish its mission. Horses travelled to Southwell where four lots of horses, including five two year olds went through their paces with an assortment of older horses. All went very well and we were particularly impressed with two of the two year olds, while not dissappointed with the others. One showed a very dogged attitude to her work and is as tough as teak. More on this when time allows but, they certainly gave me something to feel excited about.
At home the remainder of the yard cantered on the round canter ready for working tomorrow watched by Julie. The water treadmill had its weekly water change along with another quarter of a tonne of epsom salts added to the fresh water. George and I are being spoilt this evening by Frankie who is cooking up an Indian meal for us as I write this blog (hence the "rush") and Janos is getting ready to go to Darlington to collect his friend who arrives from Hungary to start working with us tomorrow. Hayley was busy working from home adding more videos to the owners pages and "most" of them are written up now too.
Young Windsor found a new home out of racing and I think we did well to win with him last season, but he certainly was and is, a little devil who does not 'want' to race. Dave McMahons filly didn't eat up and was made a non runner for Wolves this evening so PJ will have even more energy for tomorrows busy work morning.
