A busy day with owners today, Alan Court popped in for a coffee (sorry Alan, we know Jean reads the blog, you can't get away with skiiving), Paul and Zee Thompson were in to watch their two work while Joe Richardson called in to see his filly, Swift Intrigue, and check out his brand new set of colours soon to be worn for the first time at the races. Picking a name and choosing your racing colours are two of the things new owners look forward to, that and their horse running of course. Dale had his horses turned out beautifully as he usually does, the video below shows him putting some quarter marks on Up The Millers, free-hand with a damp brush.

Tim Jarman made one of his bi-monthly visits to the yard to look over and treat a number of horses, while Captain was kept busy with the water treadmill. A quick trip to Catterick for Ann, who went to saddle and watch You Little Beauty run for only the second time. She is still in need of experience, she was always one of the more mentally backward types but works nicely at home and is a lovely animal.
