Last month we highlighted three horses that were for sale and as a result the smashing colt by Canford Cliffs found himself a lovely new owner. Time to update you on the Intense Focus filly who at the time of writing had recently begun the breaking-in process: "Last but by no means least is our lovely girl by Intense Focus, sire to the afore mentioned 'Cuppacoffee'. She lived out before she came to us and this filly has done a lot of good over the winter, certainly looking every inch a two year old type. She is currently being broken in and will be backed and ridden away by the end of the month. She comes from a stud farm in Ireland who are retaining a half share in her so there is 50% available - she comes with naming rights and would run in your colours. As she hasn't been through the ring her pedigree page isn't available but you can view her page on our website here and as with the others she can be seen at home."

She has now completed her first stage of education and is cantering daily with the rest of the string, even leading the way. Her attitude is good and she has strengthened up even more and is taking everything in her stride. This filly reminds me somewhat of a mare we used train, also acquired as a yearling 'Salerosa' was also a dark bay who may have been easily overlooked initally but similar to the Intense Focus filly she blossomed and became quite the looker. But she was a lot more than all fur coat and no knickers - she won 9 races for us! Fingers crossed that this girl loves the game as much.

You can see the filly For Sale below, having a routine canter up the all-weather gallop, ears pricked and bright eyed, striding out nicely. Enquiries to ann@annduffield.co.uk
